What took so long?

Founded in 1975 by Peter Rigby with £2,000 in cash, SCH is still privately held. Rigby is a huge cheese on the West Midlands business scene. This man is going to get a knighthood - three to five years max.

All the signs are there - successful business, truckloads of employees, and shedloads of awards, including 1995 West Midlands Business of the Year and Compaq’s 1995 UK Distributor of the Year. Rigby is the Variety Club’s "Midland Businessman of the Years 1996/7, while SCH is the current holder of the NatWest/Sunday Times Business Enterprise Award.
