Betfair and FA deal on dodgy bets

Bookies call in the ref...

Betfair has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Football Association to counter dodgy gamblers exploiting its website.

The deal gives the FA better access to customer information held on suspected customers, according to The Independent. The two will work together to counter illegal gambling. Betfair, and other gambling exchanges, have been criticised for failing to fight dubious bets.

Betfair has similar arrangements with other regulators such as the Jockey Club, the Darts Regulation Authority and the ICC. ®
