HP has picked up a pair of consulting companies to build out its already swollen services practice.

HP today announced that Dallas-based IT Infrastructure Management LLC, which operates under the ManageOne name, and the UK's CEC Europe Service Management were acquired for undisclosed sums. Both of the firms specialize in training and IT consulting. Specifically, ManageOne and CEC Europe fall under the category of information technology service management (ITSM) companies and will join the 500 ITSM consultants already at HP.

"These acquisitions will help to strengthen HP's leadership as a premier ITSM services provider," said Mike Rigodanzo, senior vice president, Customer Support, HP Services. "Both CEC Europe Service Management Ltd. and ManageOne have the deep ITSM experience and expertise necessary to help customers address their dynamically changing business needs."
