Strategy Boutiques invade Japan

Seeing red in Yokohama

LogoWatch It's been a while since any company of note was suddenly gripped by the need to redefine the corporate identity paradigm, but the terrifying pestilence of rebranding madness has struck to shocking effect in Japan.

The evidence suggests that Eudyna Devices Inc's Yokohama HQ must have recently suffered a visit from one or more Strategy Boutiques, suitably armed with Powerpoint presentations, whalesong CDs and joss-stick burners. The graphic speaks for itself:

Eudyna: seeing red

Eudyna Red? As Reg reader J. Kanowitz - who brought this outrage to our attention - notes: "Is 'Eudyna Red' higher performance than Renesas Red, Amiga Red, or Soviet Bloc Red?" A good question - or Reg red for that matter? Madness, sheer madness. ®
