Computer KOs Gloria Estefan live show

Machine intelligence?

Gloria Estefan last night cancelled her live show in Dallas after a computer crash "affected the production and its special effects".

According to Gloria's lovely site: "Engineers guarantee that the system will be repaired by tomorrow allowing the tour to continue on schedule in Phoenix, Arizona on Thursday, August 12th."

That's what they think. What we think is that Ms Estefan's IT infrastructure may have become self-aware. If it has, then it will certainly have a preference for Rush, rather than MOR Latino pop and is likely to remain defiantly non-functioning until a group of Canadian Rock Gods takes to the stage.

Madonna, Britney, Kylie, et al, are advised to take note. Judgement Day may be upon you. ®
