Naomi Campbell 'beat assistant with PDA'

The make? Read on...

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has angrily rejected US reports that she assaulted a personal assistant with a PDA. The 34-year-old catwalk babe and author is alleged to have set about her PA with a Blackberry during a jaunt to Rio de Janeiro.

Campbell's spokesperson, Rob Shuter, strenuously denied the claims and issued a statement in which the supposed victim of the Blackberry-battering declared: "Naomi has always treated me with great respect. These ugly rumours are not true."

We're inclined to agree. The Blackberry is ill-suited for lackey-thrashing duty. Although a titanium-cased Palm immediately springs to mind, we at El Reg recommend the iPod mini - robust aluminium case and, if the USB cable is locked in, you can swing it like a handbag.

The added advantage is, of course, that you can listen to Britney's Hit me baby one more time while simultaneously knocking ten bells out of your cowering workforce. ®
