Need a brothel? Ask Google

More UK map merriment

Our recent revelation that Google maps in the UK had redrawn the entire world according to George Bush provoked much merriment among Reg readers. Naturally, some of you then got down to pushing the fledgling system to its absolute limits. Try this top effort from Andy at the Raster Vision Team:

In regard to your article about google map I thought you might be interested in another little funny thing about google map.

They kindly list everything for you, even your local brothel. A national search for brothels bring up your average brothels in Liverpool. But what we found even more funny was a local search for our nearest brothel.

So we typed in our postcode: TN12 7EA and yes great that brings up our location.. Then we thought ahhh lets look for out local brothel, so we typed in "brothel", and up pops our local brothel...

That's right, if you're desperate for a bit of pay-per-hump action, look no further than Kent County Constabulary HQ. While we applaud this fundraising initiative - and it certainly makes a change from balancing the budget using speed cameras - we feel it necessary to point out that running a house of ill repute is illegal in the UK, even for the Boys in Blue. And as for Aquavista Property Consultants, well, they should be ashamed of themselves. ®
