Oracle unleashes security horde

Fixes for 65-strong swarm of bugs

Published Wednesday 19th July 2006 12:00 GMT

Oracle's security organ has splurged 65 patches on customers in its quarterly update.

The new code papers cracks in the firm's database, application server, and e-business suite products.

Many of the problems are caused by a proprietary networking protocol called Oracle Net which has come under scrutiny from security types in the past year, reports TechWorld. A fix for a hole in Oracle 10g made public on BugTraq in April is included too.

Find the Oracle update page here, and look forward to another exciting installment on October 17.®
