News provider Reuters is buying privately owned search company ClearForest to make its content more usable.
ClearForest works with companies with large quantities of text. It includes a tagging system to give categories to pieces of text and also claims to add context to search results.
Reuters was already a customer of ClearForest along with DowJones, EDS, and the Dow Chemical Company.
ClearForest has already received agreement from enough shareholders to get the deal through. It is expected to close within 30 days. The press release is here. ®
