Freemantle, a large company, puts the squeeze on its incumbent staff - cutting their wages and holiday entitlements. Then when the workers decide to protest publicly Freemantle tries to silence them with bullying tactics.

This is precisely why such businesses need to be regulated - they simply cannot be trusted to behave like reasonable people to other people in their employ.

It is long past the time where the social experiment of Care in the Community was abandoned and state-run services were reinstated. Care for the elderly cannot be a for profit business. These are often people who have put a lifetime into this country and are now at their most vulnerable. A position we will all find ourselves in one day, should we live long enough. At that time we will need caring for by people with the correct motivation who do not need to be lorded over by an oppressive employer.
