The 26th september is a Wednesday and the 28th is a Friday, their both in the same week!

If the miss the window in the 26th they can try again at the end of the week.

I think you mean minor planet. As in molesworth 2. No sign of Gimli in your artist's impression...

Ever Since Pluto

It's true that "minor planet" is another term for asteroid.

However, ever since Pluto got demoted, there has been a category of Solar System bodies known as "dwarf planets"; Pluto is one of them, Ceres is another, and other large Kuiper Belt Objects, such as Eris, are also likely to be accepted as belonging to this category.
