Price comparison site uSwitch.com has made around 10 of its IT department redundant in a bid to cut costs.
Marketing boss Alan Tattersall said the job losses were part of a reorganisation after the firm moved to new offices and combined IT departments with sister site Shopzilla.com.
He said: "It's a minor restructure. Like any business, there's no point in keeping people we don't have a function for." No further redundancies are planned, he added.
Affected workers have entered a consultation period when the firm "may" find other roles for them. The IT department currently employs about 70. ®
