A Kiwi brewery is offering a "lifetime supply" of beer in exchange for the return of a stolen laptop.

The Croucher Brewing Company near Rotorua is anxious to recover a PC containing designs, financial information, and contact details which was pinched on Monday.

Backup copies of data held on the machine were taken but are not up to date, the Rotorua Daily Post via the BBC reports.

Co-owner Paul Croucher said the brewery would offer a lifetime supply of 12 bottles of beer a month (our emphasis) to anyone able to name the thief.

A dozen bottles of beers is a meager ration that would barely get a Reg hack though lunchtime or a Kiwi shearer through an afternoon's work, we'd suggest. At the time of writing a link from the boutique brewery's website providing more information on the reward, such as it is, is inoperative.
