Website battles to free Oz barmaid's jubs

Net exposure for Luana De Favari

Published Friday 2nd November 2007 11:55 GMT

Those among you who believe that Oz barmaids should have the right, if not the legal obligation, to bare their chesticles and use them to crush beer cans, are directed to campaigning website Aussie Barmaid.

The site is a tribute to Western Australia's Luana De Favari, who was famously fined A$1,000 for just such a crowd-pleasing stunt which also splendidly involved hanging spoons from her nipples.

The blurb declares:

We want to turn this absolute joke into a positive. We want to turn this event into an inspiration for beer can crushing boob enthusiasts and other supporters all over the world. It is time to unite and fight for a cause we believe in: the freedom of bare boobed can crushing in bars... and more than that, the freedom to be human beings and have fun in life!

Luana herself was moved to comment: "Hello there, I am the skimpy barmaid from WA, and I have to say, all this publicity is a bit overwhelming. Thank you very much for your support, it's great to see so much appreciation. hugs xxx."

Aussie Barmaid has apparently attracted sponsorship to hold a Stateside honourary reception in August 2008 "in tribute to our Beer Breasted friend". It rather unfortunately adds: "Afterall, she's our HEROIN", confirming the dangerously narcotic effects of can-crushing topless Sheilas. ®
