When it's not solving unemployment, or melting your brain, your iPhone could be responsible for causing repetitive strain injury (RSI), the British Chiropractic Association told the Sun.
The problem is particularly evident in winter, the association says, and could spread to your elbow if you're not careful. The association recommends users write short texts and keep their hands warm.
Anyone who owns an iPod will already be suffering from iRSI, unless they took the advice offered in the Guardian back in 2005 which then reported news from the British Chiropractic Association that "iPod Finger" was going to plague users - though they missed the winter angle that time.
Meanwhile, Wii users will have been pleased to see the same organisation offering advice on avoiding Wii-related injuries over the 2006 Christmas period.
Why the iPhone is a worse culprit than any other mobile phone is unclear. We're just pleased that someone's got our back. ®
