Reg Dev wants you!

Show off

Published Monday 4th February 2008 00:02 GMT

Reg Dev is looking for article submissions on the theory and practice of building and managing software, and of running application development projects.

Every day we produce a stream of technical articles for millions of readers. But Reg Dev wants more! We're looking for technical guides and research reports that tackle common or niggling problems, and provide insight on new or hidden challenges. And we want to hear from other practitioners, people we've not yet had the chance to meet or speak to in person.

What's in it for you? In addition to instant fame and becoming the envy of all your mates, you'll be helping readers across the planet by sharing your experience, knowledge and insights.

In addition, you retain copyright in perpetuity on your work. That means you can re-use your article elsewhere.

Where do you sign up, then?

Write down an article idea and email it to: regdevcontributions@theregister.com or click here.

We'll read your email and if it sounds like the kind of thing other readers will want to hear about, and based on its level or technical merit and originality, Reg Dev will follow up with an email outline that will provide helpful pointers on things to include in your piece. You'll also get a word count with a deadline. Articles typically run between 800 and 1,800 words. Oh, we will also need a brief bio of you that outlines your work and relevant experience.

Sorry, vendor and marketing peeps: no product or company white papers.®
